Oliver Hazard Perry at the Battle of Lake Erie

[Oliver Hazard Perry during the Battle of Lake Erie, standing at the front of a rowboat en route from the Lawrence to the Niagara.]

Oliver Hazard Perry and his crew rowing from the Lawrence to transfer his flag to the Niagara during the Battle of Lake Erie (also known as the Battle of Put-in-Bay). Note that the U.S. flag at the time of the War of 1812 had 15 stars and 15 stripes, so the depiction of the flag is anachronistic.
